Awarding Ceremony of “Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award”

On 6 December 2009 the Awarding Ceremony of "Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award” named after H.H. Sheikh Muhammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai took place at Safina hall of Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
   The award winners were honoured people in various categories owing to their achievements in individual sports as well as various institutions for their contribution to the developments in the field of sports. The award is under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdam Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of Dubai Sports Council.
   Mr. Gafur Rakhimov was honoured by the board of trustees of the award to attend the awarding ceremony as Vice-President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The OCA President H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah was awarded Arab Sports Personality award in recognition of his support of the sports movement.
   The ceremony was a significant event. It was attended by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum who congratulated individually the award winners.
